Overview
Designing the backbone of the wholesale tea trade.
Viridiv is a B2B digital aggregator for India’s tea industry — connecting estates, buyers, and intermediaries through a real-time bidding ecosystem. The challenge? Designing a platform that could handle heavy data, enable regulated trade, and remain usable by both traditional tea estate users and modern corporate buyers.
I led the UX/UI design of the platform from scratch — crafting three distinct yet interconnected experiences for sellers, buyers, and admins. The result is a clean, regulation-compliant live bidding system that streamlines tea lot sales while maintaining complete oversight and auditability in accordance with Tea Board of India guidelines.

Our Approach
Simplicity meets structure in a data-heavy ecosystem.
This project demanded more than design — it required regulatory awareness, interface planning under data complexity, and the empathy to design for users ranging from legacy estate operators to tech-savvy procurement leads.
🍃 Key Design Decisions:
Three-role UX strategy: Created dedicated flows for buyers, sellers, and admins, each optimized for task relevance and visibility.
Live bidding modules: Enabled features like “Offer List,” “Lots,” “Bag Quantity,” “Price Negotiation,” “Status Tracking,” and dynamic auction controls — all without overwhelming the user.
Admin dashboard as command center: Centralized tools for generating e-invoices, e-way bills, and delivery notes, enabling the full B2B lifecycle within a single interface.
No-scroll data density: Designed the UI to surface critical data above the fold — using tabs, collapsibles, and modular sections to keep interactions smooth and non-disruptive.
Tea-inspired UI system: Used clean greens, soft browns, and airy whites to evoke trust, nature, and legacy, blending tradition with modern design patterns.
Post-handoff agility: Managed complex scope changes after design delivery, working closely with developers and stakeholders to adapt fast without compromising clarity.
This wasn’t a product redesign — it was a ground-up UX foundation for a regulated digital marketplace.

Results & Impact
From chaos to clarity — powering trust in India’s tea trade.
What started as a vision to streamline tea transactions became a functional backbone for India’s B2B tea supply chain. Through clean design, system-wide clarity, and smart negotiation modules, Viridiv is now being actively used by tea estates, buyers, and trade teams as a daily tool — not just a tech experiment.
💡 Strategic Business Wins:
First-of-its-kind digital bidding platform built from the ground up for the Indian tea industry
Enabled verified transactions across multiple estates and corporate buyers — with end-to-end traceability
Replaced manual legacy systems with a seamless, transparent UX tailored for auctions, price negotiation, and order closure
Improved decision-making speed, with minimal-scroll interfaces surfacing critical data without clutter
Enhanced regulatory confidence, thanks to e-invoicing, e-way bill, and delivery note generation features built right into the admin dashboard
Client teams now use the product daily, positioning Viridiv as a trusted digital intermediary in one of India’s oldest industries
Earned long-term stakeholder trust through agile updates during tricky post-handoff changes — maintaining design quality under pressure
💬 “This doesn’t feel like a tech tool. It feels like how tea trade should’ve always worked.” — (client-side feedback)
With Viridiv, I didn’t just design a B2B SaaS product — I helped establish a new standard for digital trust in traditional supply chains.
